We stayed here for one night on the way home from Cornwall as wanted to visit Jane Austen museum. Parking was easy, check in was quick and our evening meal and breakfast were lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable, although a bit dusty. Excellent shower with plenty of hot water. Would stay again.

My partner and I recently visted the Angel hotel and we had an amazing time. Dinner and breakfast was sooo good! Staff are accommodating and overall lovely. Rooms are spacious and great value for money! Will recommend to anyone that is looking to stay in the area.

Gem of a place

Stay here regularly on business trips and always a warm welcome . Rooms have all been great and the food superb and indeed wholesome. A real gem of a place , and usually nice and quiet too

Business stopover

Staff are simply the best ! They do what ever they can to make sure your stay is a good one Hotel itself I find fantastic for my requirements as it’s in a perfect position . Most of the time it’s lovely and quiet , although sadly last night , and the very first time in many many stays , a couple came in late , making s hell of a row , without any thought for anyone else, but this is very rare Food is always lovely , and the atmosphere very pleasant.

Great staff , great food , great atmosphere

Absolutely love this hotel. Perfect for my stopover and always , every single time a very warm welcome on arrival and at breakfast Really lovely atmosphere, friendly people and very friendly , cheerful staff The specials are always value for money , and all the food on the menu is cooked superbly . Highly recommend the burgers as these are so tasty , but also everything on the menu is tasty ….love the place it’s perfect 👏

A pleasant one night stay

Good hotel but a little off the beaten track. The hotel staff were great, very friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast and dinner were good. The only things that we could really be critical of is the sound insulation between rooms could be better and the room we had really needs some work on the decorating. For the price we paid for our one night stay it was great value for money and I would certainly stay there again.
