My daughter and I had a lovely stay here in June 2026. Although reception isn't manned 24 hours, the staff were extremely helpful and kept us updated via WhatsApp when we needed to check in or to order taxis etc. The hotel was in a good location in the old town of Altea, close to the beach and restaurants. It was very clean and well maintained and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The only thing the hotel lacked was a restaurant to serve breakfast however there are numerous bakery/cafes 2 minutes walk away so wasn't too much of a problem.

Perfect place to stay with equally and easy walking distance to the lovely sea front and beach but also to the charming historical city. Plenty of good eateries and bars nearby as well as other amenities. The beds are super comfortable, the aircon is quiet and the en-suite bathrooms are in excellent condition to provide for your comfort. Although the reception desk is not open 24 hrs the helpful friendly and attentive staff are always easily contacted via WhatsApp.

Fabulous Hotel

A beautiful boutique hotel in the old town of Altea. A perfect place to base yourself for a trip to this unique town. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We'll certainly return to the Maison Salva.

If you are looking for a nice room this is the place. But if you are expecting some basic service and hospitality (according to the price) forget it. Reception is mostly closed. And there was no one to attend for check-out. It was a mess and got treated very unprofessionally. We were scolded on WhatsApp for wanting to leave our luggage for a couple of hours before flying off.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maison Salva. The staff were very friendly and responsive. The property is beautiful and in excellent condition. It is also well located and minutes away from the center of the historic old town. Very good value for money. We will definitely stay there again.

The fantastic Maison Salva

The hotel is wonderful nestled at the footsteps to the old town, its positioning is perfect to walk around the charming streets and is literally a stone’s throw from the seashore. The rustic charm of the hotel is magnificent and the staff were excellent, the room was perfect, with comfy beds fantastic views of the ocean, and fantastic a/c which was perfect in 30c, will most definitely be back

Staff were very helpful when they were around. The foyer was very nice and so was the terrace. We booked a Duplex room and were disappointed, it was quite dark and small . Photos are very deceptive. There is hardly any storage and we had the leave the clothes in the suitcase for the whole 5 nights. The bathroom had nowhere to hang towels . The walls are very thin in the adjoining rooms and we were kept awake we the noise from the other guests. Unfortunately we wouldn’t return
