“Wonderful stay in Varzo! Lovely mother and daughter hosts. Delicious homemade breakfast and very comfortable room with a nice view. Right down the hill from San Domenico ski area with excellent scenic hiking. Would recommend Chalet Il Picchio to all!”

“We spent one night at this hotel and loved it. We arrived early and one of our rooms was already ready, which was very convenient. Simple rooms but with everything. The spa is also great, and the restaurant is excellent. Everything went great and we will definitely stay here again whenever we come to this area. Only thing that could be improved is that the pool temperature was not very warm (definitely not 35 degrees), so it was a bit cold for the cool weather.”

“Beautiful Views. Says 17 minute walk but they don't tell you its up a mountain so more like half hour or more if hauling luggage. They should send email telling uou they have a shuttle to pick you up. After getting there uou pay $8-10 for shuttle each way down to town and back. Only 3 restraurants and no shops. Loved the salt water pool.”

“This is my second visit all the staff can't do enough for you i had to ring and inform them I was going to be late checking in as I had problems they told me that was OK they even kept the restaurant open”
