Excellent all round

My wife will never become involved in trip organization but is exceedingly quick to criticize!!! Initially, there were some murmurings as we ventured further from Alford but she rather sheepishly admitted that the quality was excellent which made my stay more enjoyable as well! The kitchen and all the rooms were very well appointed as part of a stone built barn conversion. So quiet and properly dark at night - the stars were fantastic. Owner lived next door and was very friendly and approachable. Would definitely recommend to the most discerning (fussy) traveler - I know a few in addition to my wife!!

This newly and beautifully restored farm byre made a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding countryside and castles. A very spacious and comfortable living space, tastefully decorated, with a superbly equipped kitchen. This was our favourite accommodation in our tour of Scotland.
