Vacations Close To Alexandra Battery and Observation Station

The location is fantastic. Taxi from the airport is about $60 with tip. If you get one of the beachfront rooms you are less than a minute walk and you are toes in the sand of about 1/4 mile of what seems like a private beach. Hotel staff was great. Shout out to Amy at the front desk who's help was beyond wonderful. If you need a taxi have them call Mr Moses. He was the best. He drove us on one day and set up an appointment to pick us up to head to the airport out final day. He was there early and The rooms are nice. A/C worked great. very clean and housekeeping was spot on. The bed on the other hand was TERRIBLE. Like sleeping on a large bag of tennis balls. Best mode of island transportation is to get a bus pass. Have the front desk help you set that up. There is a bus stop right outside the resort property. However you will have to walk a steep hill going to and from it. Resort needs a shuttle service to the road. Maybe if enough people ask about it, they will start one. You will definitely get your leg workout for the day. Overall it was very good and I will stay there again next trip.

I have never had such a disappointing travel experience where I had to spend over $5000 for 5 days. I understand that Bermuda is an expensive place to stay but to be treated by the staff as though I was a burden was simply unacceptable. The room was clean and the view was nice but there was water damage, paint peeling, lack of pillows and bedding and no room cleaning throughout. To access the property you have to climb a very steep hill and just outside of the entrance there are garbage trucks that smell horrible. The general manager said some very odd and off putting things when we were checking in. The one helpful person was Curtis the driver, but he's only one person who could only do so much. When I asked for assistance to get somewhere I was given none. I would not recommend this property.
