Nice larger hotel. Parking is a challenge in Ålesund. We were fortunate to find a spot in lot next to hotel (needed to install app and pay (about $26/day) Good location and many good food options in area.

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The hotel is in a very convenient location, restaurants, cafes, souvenirs - everything is nearby. Since it was very hot, the room was stuffy and there was no air conditioning. The breakfast was modest, but everything you need was there.

Good location for the Hurtigruten cruise but hotel facilities felt a bit outdated. Maybe we were also a little unlucky with the room - we found a broken glass in the room (though quickly changed by staff) and bathroom flooded during the shower. That said, staff were friendly and accommodating when we asked to wait in the lobby for a few hours after check-out. Also lovely sunset view from the hotel terrace.

Check in and check out were a bit problematic During check in we were assured that a room would be ready soon. We waited almost an hour and finally had to ask again and were told the room had been ready except no one told us At check out, the clerk failed to bill us for a meal and we wound up having to pay by credit card while we were elsewhere. A bit of confusion during the communications between us. Ultimately resolved. The hotel itself is great and we ahd a very plesant three day stay

Price to high compared to service..

No flexibility.. breakfast before 7am not possible even if buffet is already prepared.. I got no vegetarian alternatives as option just a ham sandwich.. one evening I ordered a vegetarian Pizza and got one with meat.. No water in Hotelroom.. in almost all other hotels in that price segment you get at least one bottle. In the hotel room of the hotel was moldy smell due to moisture on the floor..

Staff were helpful. Room was clean in bed was comfortable had a view overlooking the water. The only downside was when the cruise ship would park there. It was a little noisy, but didn’t last long.

Vain aamiainen olisi voinut olla parempi

Yövyimme kaksi yötä. Sijainti erinomainen heti Hurtigruten terminaalin vieressä, myös bussit ja lautat lähtevät ihan nurkan takaa. Hotelli oli siisti ja huoneet hyvät. Kuntosalin koko ja varustus oli tavanomaista parempi. Huomioiden hotellin korkeahdkon hinnan olisin kaivannut parempaa aamiaista. Siinä ei sinänsä ollut mitään vikaa, mutta esim. Bergenissä saimme monipuolisemman ja laadullisesti maukkaamman aamiaiskokemuksen edullisemmassa hotellissa.
