Very great location to access the national park! Staff are super friendly and the room was very clean! We found the grab and go breakfast to be very extensive and more than enough to start the day. You can also hire a sandboard for $25 a day if you are so inclined!

First - these folks are so nice, and the location right outside the Great Sand Dunes National Park can't be beat. The full fridge and freezer worked well, and the mini kitchenette would be nice if we stayed longer (my roomie noticed skillets, no saucepan, and one knife, so limited equipment). We had issues with noise, however. One can hear everything through the walls. When you have a family next door that can't use their inside voices, forget about sleep. The heater didn't work well, either, and we woke up freezing. Still - location, location, location.

The camper was extremely clean and the staff were extremely nice and very helpful and polite. I felt completely safe in the area, my only warning would be to not stay in camper #26 because it didn’t have any hot water. I had to boil water if I wanted it to be hot and there was an issue with the lights inside the trailer. The lights would randomly start flashing for about 30-40 minutes which felt like I was inside a disco club. I ended up turning off all the lights as the blinking started to hurt my eyes. Staff was made aware of the issue and seemed to know about it already.

A very unique property, specifically tailored to those visiting the sand dunes. Nothing fancy about this place, but the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. Only dinner option at the motel was a frozen Papa Murphy's pizza that we were able to bake in a pizza oven in the motel office. Definitely not worth the money. I would recommend eating before you arrive. The grab and go breakfast items were great, intended to eat in your room or in your car. The view of the dunes was nice. I could see if the weather had cooperated there would have been a nice sunset/sunrise. Overall, if the dunes are your destination, this motel is a great option.
