This hotel was absolutely amazing, first time in Saudi Arabia, they made me feel at home, I stayed from December 23rd through the 26th in room 519. Amazing view, the best fine dining I’ve experienced in a long time. Breakfast and dinner buffets were more than amazing, I really enjoyed the spa experience as well. Everyone there made me feel valued and appreciated. I will be returning within the next couple of days.

The hotel room was good with the sea view, with a good bathroom. The only problem was, there should be a tool to wipe water from the floor instead of asking room service every time. The parking was very small so that was an issue, other than that everything else was amazing.

Average at best. Not recommended.

Wanted to relax by myself after a long week of work travel and meetings. Chose the Sofitel based on location and the view on the water. It didn’t disappoint on the view, but on everything else, it was sub par. The room smelled funny. I asked for an air freshener. A dude showed up with one of those industrial spray bottles. The smell got way worse. The hotel condition is old.. and you can see it almost everywhere. The furniture. The finishing. The technology (or lack thereof). I can’t say I’ve stayed at a Sofitel before (or any of the Accor hotels) and based on this stay, I probably won’t do it again. I don’t recommend this hotel.

The staff were very kind and friendly. The amenities were clean and nice. The room was much better than priced; very spacious, comfortable and clean. Parking was free, but not many parking spaces were free. Absolutely excellent hotel.

Decent hotel with a good location. My feeling is that this hotel used to be really nice several years ago but could use some updates throughout the property. Also direct access to beach would be nice improvement.
