Amazing resort, would recommend to others. Food excellent, rooms are new. Only one thing I had issue with the bar where certain alcohols were running out and weren’t being replaced. Staff helpful, and they have a trolley that drives you around the other resorts.

i want to preface this with the knowledge that we were at the resort during low season so some things were scaled down. the grounds are beautiful and the landscaping is well kept. lots of animals/birds to see. staff were mostly decent but only a few were above average. buffet food was very repetitive in all the hotels as we made our way around trying to find the best option. (more on this later) the ala cart's we booked were mediocre at best. the carts to take you around are plentiful and always seem to be right around the corner or already waiting with staff that are happy to take you. best buffet was Akumal by far for all 3 meals - side note none of the buffets have AC so be prepared with a small personal fan coba was based more on authentic mexican from what we could tell. sian kan was a bit better selection of buffet food but still primarily the same. we stayed at tequila the adult section which was to have it's own buffet for all three meals for those that wish to avoid children but they had changed it to ala cart just for breakfast and dinner due to being low season (our guess?) however we paid the premium to have all adult and were then forced into going to the family resorts for lunch. Brazilian - was by far the best - meatatarian paradise! Japanese - was next with fresh sushi and many options the smoked - no smoke has touched anything in this restaurant it is all grilled but that was the extent of any smoke. the brisket served was wafer thin, dry, no flavor all

Overall the resort was really wonderful! The food is good there’s a reasonable amount of choices at the buffet. The restaurants are very difficult to get in to, so use the app before you arrive to schedule à la carte dinners. The spa was wonderful and they were very attentive and caring. Would definitely come again!

This is my second time to the property having stayed at one of the other properties on the resort last time. What you need to know is Tequila is associated with Coba resort and you have access to things within those two resorts ONLY, but you cannot go off those two resorts to use other amenities on the other resorts. Buffet at Tequila is very limited. Staff is super helpful, very friendly and some of the systems that are in place with Hyatt having taken over by here just doesn’t have the same feel as it did when I was there two years ago.

Yes, we found the spa relaxing. The main pool on the other hand, not so much. Music that was played from 10am, until sometimes into the wee mornings, was extremely loud and mostly designed for the younger generation, which we aren't.

Awful place - cannot book restaurants yet they are empty! Rude staff in the Sports Bar - Miguel was unhelpful and rude with our large wedding party. Positives rooms are great and clean and staff at the buffet are lovely. The whole place is so big across the various hotels that the staff don’t care enough to make us personal or special.

There is no significant beach. The rooms are nice, the food and drinks are very poor. The entertainment is nil to none. This is not a five star resort, not even close.

I am not sure where to begin with this place if im being honest... First night, the sheets were damped but the room was clean, they were on top of that. Pool: Fun to go too, but be prepared to get only ONE towel, and be prepared to return it or they hold you it against you the next time you want one. There's no pool service, no food allowed either, and you will have to get your own drinks at the bar.

The staff here are amazing! So friendly and accommodating. The resort itself is beautiful, with 4 hotels on site you have several options for dining, pools, and whatever else. A very lively nightlife, we never had to look hard for live music or entertainment! Will definitely be coming back next year. 10/10

Nice property, very friendly and helpful staff. Sometimes lacking in amount of staff especially at the pool and pool bar. The staff that was there were working hard but the company could hire more staff. Room cleaning was done well and timely. Food at the buffet was mediocre… but I don’t have high expectations. Wish there was more fresh fruit and guacamole all the time. There was no towel game as the resort was definitely not at capacity when we went which was awesome. Overall enjoyed our stay and would consider going back. The entertainment team was great. We loved the divorce party and Miss Xtras performance!

We had a great stay overall and would recommend this resort. The service and food were excellent, with very good à la carte restaurants.. just be sure to book them 10 days before your stay when you can access online check in. It is a party resort and can be loud at times, but the noise was not nearly as bad as reviews made it seem. We slept well every night, even with our room being located right by the pool. Room cleanliness was okay but not exceptional, and toward the end of our stay it felt less well maintained than at the beginning. Still, a fun resort with great food and atmosphere. Would come back.

Stayed at Grand Tequila from the 28th thru 2nd - Rooms are nicely appointed, comfortable - Well planned, refurbished layout of the resort - To avoid loud music request a villa away from the pool - eg Villa 22 - Good party resort - Excellent Service - Decent entertainment - Food below average including Speciality restaurants ( Probably rate it 4 out of 10) - mislabeled dishes, tasteless and some dishes unedible - as compared to other all inclusive resorts in the region - Breakfast is the only saving grace - Access to the beach via Trolly and runs v frequently Summary - won't be coming back to this establishment..

We had an amazing stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tequila. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The resort and rooms were very clean. Beach access is just a short walk. There are also buggies that can drive you anywhere around the property. There’s also two different beach access spots for tequila. The food was amazing! 10/10, great variety and many options for à la carte. The highlight of our trip was the activities and events. There was always something to do. From day time pool parties and games to exclusive evening events. A special shoutout to Gregory, the activities coordinator, who truly made our trip extra special. Our group chatted with him one night and it felt like he instantly became part of the family. We honestly looked forward to seeing him every day for the remainder of our trip. Gregory and his crew know how to throw a good party that includes every one of all ages!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Unfortunately, I would not stay at this resort again or recommend it. The dining experience was one of the biggest disappointments. The only restaurant isn’t a buffet you order from a limited menu, and it’s the exact same options everyday for both breakfast and dinner. They’re also closed for lunch, so your only option is the Casita with basic fast-food style choices. The beach was another letdown. It’s a long walk, and waiting for the golf carts to take you there often took longer than expected. Once we arrived, the beach itself wasn’t impressive. We’ve stayed at other resorts in Riviera Maya, like Barcelo, and the beach there is far superior. The room looked modern, and the closet space was nice, but the bedding was disappointing. The sheets were clean but stained, and the mattress protector clearly wasn’t being replaced or cleaned regularly we found crumbs and hair underneath the sheets. There were also no bathrobes or slippers, and I really missed having double sinks in the bathroom. The alcohol selection was very limited and consisted mostly of bottom-shelf liquor. The only beer available during our stay was Dos Equis. Overall, this resort did not meet our expectations, especially for the price. There are much better all-inclusive resorts in Riviera Maya that offer better food, beaches, amenities, and overall value. Unless major improvements are made, I wouldn’t return.
