We've been to ABBR many many times. The location is great. The rooms are nice as well. It seems there are fewer workers so it takes longer to get service on the beach and at the pool. The food in the buffet needs to be kept warmer, much warmer. They've been working on improvements; hopefully, they will continue.

The Mexican food was authentic, I loved every restaurant except the buffet. It just wasn't my type of food. Everyone is so welcoming! The rooms were fresh even when it was 92 degrees out. 10/10 recommend and would definitely come back here!

This is an outstanding resort we enjoyed immensely. The setting on the beach of Akumal Bay is spectacular and the extraordinarily comfortable rooms are truly “ocean front.” The staff is remarkably accommodating and the “vibe” is totally “chill.” Food was absolutely first-rate. We now consider Akumal Bay BC our favorite spot on the Riviera Maya and will be back soon.
