Casa Aurora is one cool place! The location is wonderful, just a couple short blocks away from the action. Close to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. Katya and Anthony are perfect hosts and looked after our every need. This little retreat is a sweet find!!!
I stayed in a room overlooking a garden, every thing was beautiful. There was a shared bathroom but nobody else was staying there so I had the bathroom all to myself and I used the kitchen daily to make tea and small meals.
It's a perfect location, walkable to shops, restaurants, the plaza, the malecon, the bus station, yet still quiet and tucked away.
I had a biotuning session while I was there which was amazing. I was also able to attend a beautiful cacao ceremony while I was there.

The property is very run down. The photos supposedly showcasing the rooms, grounds etc were enhanced to give the appearance of a cheery delightful ambiance when in reality it was the opposite.
I loved the owners Katyta and Antonio. They were very nice and went out of their way to help us. There is a nearby restaurant that I loved Machima, it has an outdoor seating which is pleasant. If you get the cheapest room it has a shared bath and kitchen. The grounds are pleasing lots of bird sounds. Note there is a small gate connected to the large gate use that one, it is much easier.
The Expedia representation of the property is generated by AI and it is very misleading. The owner told me that Expedia will not change their method for presenting the property because it generates more sales. I still feel that the owners are responsible for their own advertising, and I suggested that they not use Expedia any longer. Based on what I saw, I rented this room, which was very disappointing. The beds are rockhard and it was a tiny space when it had been represented as an apartment with a full kitchen and bath, instead I found myself in a tiny room, no kitchen in the unit and only the use of of a community bathroom next door. Later I found out that it was the caretakers room. The caretaker was actually put in a better room and we were given his former quarters for our stay. Pretty outrageous, false advertising, and substandard accommodations at full price.
