Perfect place to stay if you want to enjoy the Provence Markets and Aix has a huge one. Great location, friendly staff. We didn't do the breakfast so i can't comment. We ate at the restaurant and it was very good. Rooms were well appointed and the hotel is well maintained. We would absolutely stay there again on our next time in Aix.

The hotel is in the middle of the classiest street in town. You are literally in front of Cezanne:sothers house and only a few minutes walk from almost anything of note in the old city center.

Short stay in Aix

Great little hotel, very central with friendly and helpul staff. Nice breakfast and bar. Quiet and clean. If you have a car and are uncomfortable driving in very, VERY narrow streets, leave the car in the nearby parking garage Parc Mignet, only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Great location and firendly service!

The location is very convenient to access restaruants and shopping. However, if you have a room facing the street, it can get noisy at night if the window is open. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful!

There are many positive things to say about Hotel Negrecoste, but a few negative too. The location is great, the food at the restaurant in front is very good, and the service friendly if a bit efficient at the front desk. The room was clean, and the bed comfortable. This is a small hotel and they make it feel very personalized. However, the first night at 1:30 am I had 3 knocks at my door (I was traveling alone), waking me up, with no one speaking. Before I could respond to the knocks I heard someone starting to enter my room with a key, still without saying anything. I ran to the door, held it closed and screamed very loudly until a man said he was from the front desk and there was a fire in my room. I said there was no fire and to go away, which he did, saying he thought the room was empty. The next morning, I spoke with the hotel manager. She seemed to minimize my concerns, said it was the hotel security system that noted a fire in that room, and that it had never happened before in error (with no smoke or excessively hot steam on from the shower). She was apologetic, but not that sympathetic to the terror of being woken up at night by a strange man walking into your room. They should have offered some recompense in some way - they wouldnt refund my next two nights either, despite how unsafe I felt that night and the next. Final note, the hot tub is only available for an extra 30 euros for an hour at the spa, not a hotel amenity. The description is misleading on that.

Hotel was just the right size, in the center of many activities such as the markets, dining, shopping. The room had a fantastic fantastic view, comfortable beds and a great bathroom and shower. The staff was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, we missed the opening of the new brassiere, which looks fabulous.

Rooms are surprisingly quiet given all the activity outside....and good value for the cost. Daily housekeeping was nice and front desk staff very friendly and helpful with dinner booking and tour reservations. Only negative is the parking is very challenging to access...not simple to get in or out of and need to call front desk to allow access to streets.

Excellent location . Room Was small but space utilization was so well thought out. Loved the pull down closet rack. Nice shower space . And so quiet on the backside . French Breakfast at 9 euros is good value . And staff very pleasant. We visit Aix every year and this is our new destination hotel!

Highly recommend! Perfect location on Cours Mirabeau. Staff very willing to help with booking our train and renting electric scooters. We had the least expensive room, which was beautiful and spacious, with excellent storage for clothes and toiletries. Very walkable to restaurants and shops, right in front of the pedestrian street which has a market 3 days a week.
