Great place to stay, especially for families. The location is excellent and it's easy to get around by foot or car.
We've stayed here before and had a fantastic experience, which is why we returned. This time we booked a downstairs deluxe room. In our opinion, it's not worth paying extra for the upgrade as it seemed no different from the standard rooms.
Our room was behind the bar and bistro. We couldn't hear any noise from either, but there were two large green wheelie bins outside our patio, so we couldn't really sit outside because of the smell.
The biggest issue was the noise from the room above. It sounded like an elephant stampede, with constant footsteps and chairs scraping across the floor, making it difficult to sleep. I'd recommend requesting a top-floor room if possible.
The room also wasn't as clean as on our previous stay. There were yellow and brown splashes on the bathroom wall beside the toilet, dirty fingerprints on the walls and door, dust, and a few stains around the room.
Cannot fault staff, they were fantastic, friendly, welcoming, and provided five-star service. We also enjoyed the bistro. It's not fine dining, but the food is good, reasonably priced, and convenient. Overall, we'd stay again, but hope the cleanliness and room allocation improve.
