Terrible, $300 a night for a room that had a thick coating of dust on every surface, and is well overdue for renovation or even basic maintenance. Our bathroom sink drain had its own life forms growing due to lack of sanitary care, along with black scum stains in the toilet, floors showing signs of black mould forming in areas as well as a shower that had been poorly repaired with a second floor that was spongey and oozed mould and unpleasantries during showering. We planned to cook in our room, but was left watching the butter set in the pan due to lack of function from the stove. Advertised with a spa, one of the jets fell out on first use, lucky we are DIY minded and re secured it. Bed time was the equivalent of inhaling a mouth full of dryer lint due to the poorly cleaned bedding, with a nice view of it drifting into the air under the modern LED lamps. The quality standards advertised for this hotel are definitely not being followed and even after cutting our holiday short by 3 nights, no longer being able to tolerate dust allergies and health concerns from the state of the bathroom, the discounted price we were eventually offered from our complaint to staff was still robbery for the state of accommodation provided. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Positives. Nice view, helpful maintenance man and a less than ten-minute walk to the shops and eateries. Negatives. Not on the Waterfront. Dirty, poorly maintained what seemed to be since 1960’s. Site manager not on site and whinged she was overworked and that was reason (and covid) why she could not get staff to clean and change bedding and towels. Beds and towels were only changed twice, and fresh towels brought up by the maintenance man once. No room cleaning, Curtain clips missing, Lounge TV close to the ceiling and uncomfortable to watch. Extreme and constant road noise and no balcony blinds to shade the Eastern sunrise. Balcony spa full of debris, not working and no instructions. Master bedroom had walk in No-robes. There was a chest of drawers and nowhere to hang garments. The maintenance man helpfully made a hanging rail using two milk crates, planks of wood and a top rail. We used that for the 5 days.
