I did not know that it is on private property. The turn of the century manor is wonderful! It was very relaxing. Parking was no problem. Breakfast was delicious.

This is a beautiful historic mansion in a safe and convenient location. From previous reviews, I mistakenly thought it was more of a bed and breakfast, as I had read what a magnificent breakfast they served. It was a big reason I chose this accommodation. The breakfast is similar to what you might expect at a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express. That said, the room was beautiful, spotless, and well-appointed and the owner was absolutely lovely and helpful and genuinely interested in his guests.

I would give a five star rating if only we could control the temperature in our freezing cold room. The owner told us the control for the air conditioning was in the room next door. He gave us access to a key for the room but we couldn’t unlock the door. The owner was a really personable guy so good to talk to. Breakfast was cooked to order which was very nice
