A dream vacation.

Amazing family vacation! A holiday resort designed for families, a large pool, 2 private beaches, a bar with amazing views. Rooms are large and clean. The hotel staff are nice and answer any request. Close to 2 picturesque Greek towns. A dream vacation.

Perfect holiday of us and our children

We like idea of hotel very much. Combination of standard hotel service and appartment facilities provide execelent flexability for families. It is especialy important for parents with small babies.

From Norwegians: Amazing hotel area. The beach and the pool was beautiful, and cleaned every morning. Staff was helpful and kind. I would a 100% recommend this hotel. We were not that lucky with the room we recived (1st floor). It was a long way to the closest supermarket and the city.

Can't wait to go back again next summer and the summer after!

We had a very good experience in this hotel, the location was great, the area is very nice and calm and clean. The Greek people in that area are very friendly and polite. The food in all restaurants was very good but the food in Candia PArk was AWESOME & DELICIOUS!. We were so impressed by the tasty food, buffet breakfast is very rich and the fish/grill taverna that opens for lunch is something to look forward to in our next visit. EVen the Kids Club was well maintained, nice staff, my 4 yrs old enjoyed playing with the other kids in the afternoon after swimming in the nice pool. The pools are all very clean and well maintained. But the most impressing of all is waking up and opening your window to the most stunning sea view I have ever seen! Worth it worth it this place to be recommended highly. My husband is a very picky guy and he loved it!

Relaxed family resort with something for everyone

We had a super 10 days and although it was mid-August and very busy, the resort didn't feel too crowded and we could always find a good place to sit during the day. Plenty of options in the shade as well as the sun. Pool area was very busy but not surprising given it was peak season. Water sports centre offers a range of things but a bit pricey. Mixed clientele - UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia, Russia. Most with children under 12. Very civilised, relaxed kind of atmosphere Meal times were well organised too with buffets being constantly topped up. Comfortable accommodation with very clean rooms and good sized space - it's not luxury but doesn't pretend to be. Minimart on site provides all the essentials so no drama if you've forgotten something.

Beautiful spacious hotel grounds/big balcony

Stayed 3 days in October at this exceptional hotel. There are many options for sun beds at the pool or beach in the sun or shade and never a problem to find one available. Our room was spacious and had a nice large balcony with seaview which I think they upgraded us. We went with the meal plan of buffet breakfast and dinners in which there was a big selection to suit everyone. Many families with young children stayed while we were here so at times, the buffets were quite busy but always enough food for everyone. Staff were always friendly and helpful. The only slightly negative point I did not give five stars for, was upon checking out we ordered their shuttle taxi service to the airport and someone was to get our luggage from our rooms. Unfortunately no one came before the taxi arrived so we carried the luggage ourselves. I would still recommend to others as a great place !

We had a good stay at Candia resorts. The property looks lovely, the rooms were clean, the food was good. However, we had several concerns. Primarily, we had called in advance and been assured that almost 4 year old would be allowed to attend Kids Club alone, but when we arrived we were told this was not possible. We were frustrated as we had booked entirely on this basis. It took over 24 hours for us to be able to contact a manager, who then suggested that I shouldn't trust the kids club to look after my child. The approach to their error was really disappointing. We generally found communication poor, our room was set up for the wrong number of people and we often didn't have the correct towels in the room. Overall the resort was lovely, but the customer service was disappointing.

We stayed 3 days. The weather was a bit chilly which I did not expect in august. The pool was cold and it was very windy. Not sure if it was just at that time or if it's always like that. The beach is small but ok. The sea was also on the colder side. When we went to the west side of the island, the sea temperature was much better. The property is beautiful. Room is prety outdated. The bathroom looked renovated though. We were on the ground floor. When my kids left a piece of food on the bed, bunch of ants gathered on it. Did not use all that the hotel offers, because of the short stay. We did see one show with baloons that my kids enjoyed. The hotel was full of families with young kids. Had only breakfast included which was ok. Check in/out very quick. Nice front desk employees.

We stayed at Candia Park for the last 3 nights of a delightful vacation in Crete where we sampled 4 different hotels. We had great expectations for Candia based on its appointment as a 4-star resort (and high cost) and the photos on Expedia. We were very disappointed and felt totally overcharged spending so much on a basic room with no amenities. The location is lovely and the grounds are nicely laid but the studio itself was outdated, extremely bare bones, and dark and musty with a patio facing another building. The bathroom had mildew that smelled so strong that we had to keep the windows open. Pictures on the website are totally misleading. Candia was also unwelcoming. At check in, the front desk politely sent us to our room with an emailed PDF to explain the grounds of the resort and what was available, leaving us confused about access to the beach. Very impersonal. We were given three very hard pillows for our three guests, nothing extra in any part of the room. No amenities at all. We did not eat at the resort. but it would have been impossible to cook in the little kitchen given the impractical utensils in the room (a ladle, a big fork and a bread knife). Such a contrast to the less expensive hotels we stayed at in Crete which, even when simple, were warm and had so many thoughtful personal touches.

Lovely stay, great for a family

Loved our stay, great family environment, friendly staff, good food, super pools, comfortable apartment with balcony gave us some options and meant it was more relaxing in the evening when kids were asleep. Things to improve on: high chairs - most were not fully functional and missing straps, dirty, with the backs tilted too far back so it was not safe for our 6 month old to sit in them. This meant he was on our laps for meal times which was not relaxing. Cot beds - fitted sheets for the cot beds would be better as the cleaning staff made the bed up with sheets that were too big for the cot and the material kept coming loose. This is not safe for a baby. Also cot bed matresses were not firm enough. Again not safe for a baby. Mini club - our daughter was too young for this, but had she been 4 I'm not sure how happy I would have been to leave her. Children were free to come and go. There was no signing in system. And the staff seemed to do little to engage with the children from what I saw. However it did provide a nice alternative for my daughter in the afternoons.

Het terrein en de services is goed. Het appartement zelf is wel aan vernieuwing toe. Wel een mooie nieuwe badkamer. De inventaris van de keuken was ook beperkt. Er was bijvoorbeeld geen schaar, wasrek of salade schaal aanwezig.
