The food from the restaurant was exceptional. The service and homey atmosphere reminded me of why I love visiting Ghana. For that alone, I give 4 stars. The other reviews mentioning some desire for room upgrades or functionality are unfortunately on point. I would visit again.

I have been using Mahogany Lodge simce 2006 for my pre airport nights and my flight arrival recuperation weekends. Travel with friends to shop in Accra (I live in Cape Coast. ) Lunch with friends and family. Staff are friendly and professional. The rooms are comfortable, AC and hot water, crisp linens, and a mini fridge in the room. Perfect.

Mahogony Lodge is in a great area to get around Accra. The local bus takes you to local shops in downtown Accra e.g Oxford Street and taxi's are plentiful. Worth using Bolt and or Ubers for good prices. The hotel staff are in general very welcoming and helpful - lots of genuinely nice people. The outdoor areas are well maintained. Mahogany Lodge needs updating internally to reflect the up and coming area. The decor is tired and outdated, what a difference some improved lighting and brighter walls could do. Mahogany Lodge is worth a visit.

Easy to reach a pharmacy if needed but long, not unpleasant and definitely safe, walk to any shops. Love this hotel and at the end of our busy stay in Ghana we always have 2 nights for total collapse, swimming and relaxation. Staff are wonderful. Feels like coming home.

This is a good place overall. The grounds are beautiful, and the pool seems nice (though it was out of service when I was there). Breakfast is great, and the service is strong. A great stay. The room was clean and quiet. The hotel location is accessible to popular sites in Accra. There was a market a block away. The restaurant had great food. Their jollof rice was excellent. The shuttle picked me up and took me to the airport. It was excellent.

Sweet quiet little place that was a perfect landing upon our arrival in Africa after many long flights. We arranged airport pickup with the hotel which not only worked great, but the kind driver waited outside for us for a LONG time, as our bag was delayed and we had to wait a long time to do the missing bag claim. I was sure the driver must be gone by the time we came out of the airport, but there he was! Much appreciated. The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. Would totally stay here again.

Great place to stay, Safe near US Embassy and the staff are always friendly, cheerful, helpful, professional and helpful. My only complaint is dinning . Food is cooked to order so over an hour wait for meals.
