We really enjoyed our stay here in the beautiful town of Aboyne. It was a good base for visiting Royal Deeside and the staff were really lovely. We would stay here again,and recommend it to anyone planning a road trip in this area.

Pros: huge bathroom (rare in Scotland lol), comfortable bed, in a small town off the beaten path. friendly staff Cons: walls a little thin, but restaurant closes and all staff leave by 11 so the place gets quiet.

Lovely atmosphere in the bar/dining area and decent size seating area for the afternoon/evening sunshine. Rooms decorated tastefully, lovely breakfast-really liked the way orders were taken for courses ( granola/yoghurt/fruit followed by choice of cooked), rather than buffet style.
