Staff were pleasant and food diner options were good.
Rooms however could be better esepcially the ensuite, not really comfortable as very narrow and small

Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating as I have a disability. Lack of a lift was inconvenient but I knew about it before I booked so no complaints.
Clean room good facilities. Great location to access town.
Loved the live band and you can hear it from the top floor so just be mindful if a concern of yours!
Quaint hotel located over a pub in the main part of town. Comfortable room and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was very nice. All the staff members were fantastic.
My third stay in 9 months. Comfortable hotel in the town centre. Superb breakfast, friendly staff, fantastic Indian food in the evening. I'll hope to be back soon.
A central location. No parking at the hotel, but there is a long stay car park a short walk away, near the castle.
The bathroom was tiny but had all one needed. The bed was comfortable and a good cooked breakfast.
On Sundays you need to check in by 8pm because they close up and you need a key to get in.
We stayed for 2 nights and from the outset the welcome provided was excellent. The owner and staff were obliging and attentive especially Taylor who was a delight to meet and went out of her way to make sure our stay met with our requirements. Her rush to assist a lady who fell outside of the hotel was exemplary and demonstrated her kindness and thoughtfulness. Excellent tasty breakfast too.

No lift, no A/C. No parking during the day.
This is an older hotel and the main stairs are a little uneven. Not a good choice if you have any mobility problems. Room was clean and comfortable. Some repairs needed in bathroom. Toilet roll holder was broken and shelf over sink was missing. Good shower, lots of hot water.
Included breakfast was good.
Room was very small and tired. Shower/toilet in a "cupboard", was worse than the student accommodation my sister inlaw had for her first year in university. No carparking at the "hotel" despite the misleading information on the web site. Staff were very good, helpful and friendly. The food was good providing you enjoy Indian menu (very little other choice) but breakfast was good with plenty of options.
Excellent location near the market and an easy walk from the train station.

Hotel had a great location. We had a twin room on top floor, rm14. Room decor was dated, but clean. Bathroom was tiny, no shelving to put anything. Had a band on the night we stayed, couldn't really hear them in the room though. Only road parking outside was available.
Friendly staff. Quiet little town and the hotel is right in the centre. Room was good. Food in the restaurant is first class - lovely Full English breakfast and delicious Indian/Nepalese food in the evening. I'll definitely go again.
Very welcoming and helpful staff. Great location and atmosphere. Room was really lovely with very comfy bed. Everything was clean and fresh. Good range for breakfast and well cooked. Would stay again.
Lovely stay at the Kings Head, Abergavenny, lovely friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms, very quiet only downside was the parking as they shut off the street between 8 am and 4pm, plenty of car parks close by though.

Property was well-located and suitable but for the price, you're better off at the higher-starred properties nearby. Does not seem like good value for the area - the check-in happens at a pub and the rooms are quite basic.
