The historic manor house buildings are beautiful, tastefully updated to allow a glass-walled dining wing that looks out over the rolling green hills. It’s a stunning setting. The bedroom is the only shortcoming. Peer facilities might offer visitors pillows of various stiffness to accommodate different sleepers’...

“The big difference with this Inn over other corporate alternatives is the staff taking ownership of their work. The two girls doing waiting service for evening meal reflected what the place is about. In a nutshell, they cared about the service. What a difference to see staff invested in their work. It’s pricey but worth the money when you get honest service like this. ”

“Great little village inn in a cracking part of the country. The view from the car park is wonderful. The landlord and landlady were really chatty and friendly. Tasty meals and a good-sized room. Can't fault it on any account.”

“The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again.”
