“Nice hotel for business . Excellent staff”

“Architecture and location are outstanding. Truly amazing. The Grotto suites are stunning. The views, to die for. The downsides are that the building is in need of a bit of maintenance with chipped and scratched plaster abounding. Our fridge was not clean but the linen was perfect. Lack of stair lighting to go to the main function areas is not great. Food in restaurants was good with large portions and welcoming, helpful staff. Highly recommend as a Kruger Park journey stop-over.”

“All was good”

“We had a great rest and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent breakfast with pancakes made by the owner as a highlight. Would absolutely stay again!”

“Very nice team, quite, discret, available, very professional. Note: 20/20 The location is very nice with an amazing view of the surounding mountains and cliff. Unfortunately, we stayed only one night. We saw many animals on the way and around the lodge (monkeys, impalas, gnou, mangusts and a rare red deer) with a particular enjoyable wake-up when opening the curtains: a girafe standing and drinking in front of the terrasse at 6 am.”

“Your response is unacceptable. The Royal Hotel was closed for refurbishment at the time of my booking — a fact that should have been known to Hotels.com before confirming any reservations. It is embarrassing that such a booking was confirmed in the first place, and the stress caused is entirely due to your company’s failure to ensure the property was operational. I will be taking this matter up with my travel insurance provider and expect Hotels.com to review its internal processes to prevent...

“Room was clean but they must work on their location problem on goggle”

“Excelente lugar. Lo único que no funcionaba el wifi”

“The Blue Cottages are a great stay for those who want an authentic, simple, not luxurious African experience in a rondavel or one bedroom cottage. The restaurant serves good quality food till 4pm in an idyllic garden setting. The staff is very friendly. Great for those travelling through the area or considering a short stay, away from the touristic pre-organised tours.”

“What an amazing find. Great location and easy to find. Comfortable and quiet location very handy for Blyde river and the panoram route. Comfortable and clean rooms. Good kitchen and Braai. Would definitely stay again.”
