“Great location in a beautiful little town, very friendly staff (especially the lady on shift for breakfast), clean room. Would go again.”

“Very nice hotel…..recommended”

“A lot of reviews for this house were quite bad. This is the review of the room we had on the ground floor. Massive room & bathroom. Shower for less able people & a lovely big bath. Everywhere was spotless. We had a 6 foot bed that was very comfortable. Yes, the wallpaper was old & stained but this house is very old & must take a great deal of upkeep. The dining room was lovely, as was the breakfast Our friends had the room next door & their opinion was the same as ours. All 4 of us would...

“Was not provided with the check-in information”

“Etwas unpersönlich, da Eingang nur mit Code. Echter Mensch beim Frühstück, was auch sehr gut war. Schönes Zimmer mit Mehrblick, kostenloser Parkplatz und Supermarkt vor der Tür. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Lediglich kein richtiger Klopapierhalter im Bad. Ansonsten alles top.”

“Lovely old building and interesting town!”

“Beautiful, large rooms. Great service, and comfortable bed. Wish we had been staying longer.”

“Very nice people. Vintage bathing arrangement”

“I was in Rm 4, a small twin with ensuite. The window opened (hood) but unfortunately, right onto the alley where the cooking fan vented. It was quite loud but did stop before bedtime. Breakfast was surprisingly included and very tasty. Did not have dinner as there was nothing small that I wanted to eat. I was later told by a customer that you could order half portions of the main menu items. I didn’t realize this and would have done so. Good drafts on tap, staff were friendly but the room...

“Nice location but room needed an update. Very small bathroom and the sink was in the bedroom. We were only informed that no breakfast was available after we checked in even though we had requested breakfast when we booked. Overall disappointed with the hotel. ”

“Check in was not good. I traveled from a different country and needed wifi to get a code. I had to drive 5 miles to get to a friend to call the owners. The owners were in and out of service so they could only text. When i finally got the proper code. It was 5 flights of steep stairs. It should have been told how many flights of stairs to go with a large suitcase.”

“Great stay for a couple of nights, perfect location waking up next to cows each day! Walkable into Haddington. Kitchen head everything to cook breakfast and evening meal, including small oven and hobs”

“Great hotel, would stay again!”

“Excelente lugar para quedarse, super tranquilo, todo casero y local. Un lugar encantador.”

“Colin and Lisa were superb and friendly hosts and the stay was not only comfortable and clean, but also aesthetically pleasing. The breakfasts were well prepared according to taste. We were delighted with our two nights' stay there and will hopefully return soon.”

“The property was very clean which was nice. There could have been more mugs as there were only 2. A teapot would have been useful. There was a good selection of cutlery, but no bread knife or scissors. Overall, we enjoyed our stay”

“We had a great time no issues at all faultless ”
