“The room was originally quite underwhelming. Parts of the hotel are in desperate need of being refurbished. But they moved me to a different room, and I was very happy with it. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was not included, but well worth the cost. There were plenty of warm options, and they were all delicious - a true English breakfast. “Very conveniently located for shopping, restaurants, the Historic Dockyard and transport services to the Isle of Wight. Parking was easily accessible and convenient in the very close by multi storey. We did need to move room during the stay due to a water leak from the room next door. We were out for the day when this happened but the staff moved everything and kept us fully informed along the way. Really excellent service! ”

“The hotel and the pub are very tired and in desperate need of rlc and upgrade/refurb. Stains on everything from floors to ceiling. Chairs in the room and the bar that should be in the bin. The cleaners do a great job but the whole place needs dealing with. Green King you are better than this. ”
