“Great breakfast included. Beautiful garden area. 5 minute walk to beach.”

“Hot Breakfast items could've been kept a bit hotter as the bacon usually cools down quickly. Thought bacon was slightly undercooked. Hot water in room could've been hotter as well.”

“Room was spacious. Bed was not very comfortable. Hard to open the door because of the carpet. Advertised WIFI but was no good, no signal so I couldn't get my work done. Asked to speak with manager about the WIFI who was too busy at the time and never followed up with me.”

“Friendly staff, clean rooms, great central location!”

“Great location! Fun building with a pub and awesome breakfast”

“Standard hotel in a really convenient location to visit the east coast of scotland. The pub close to the hotel is nice and staff are really kind”

“I arrived in Montrose early evening by train, and got a taxi to this hotel. What a charming and a cosy place to stay in along with great tasting food. The hotel staff working here are quite friendly to chat to… and they also give out good info on the surrounding area as well,…”

“The owner is very knowledgeable, helpful and made sure you had everything you needed for breakfast and your stay. Its not a traditional hotel visit. It is more like visiting a friend at a Castle.”

“Fabulous place out in the country on a farm with Clydesdale horses in the pastures. Fifteen minute drive to town. Lovely house. If you like a quiet respite, I highly recommend it.”

“So, the house itself is very nice, comfortable and bright. Bedding was comfortable, living room was good, but dining room chairs somewhat uncomfortable but not too bad. Only two of the three bathrooms are full baths, the one on the first floor is a half bath. The major issue we had was that we discovered someone living in a tent in the garage a few days into our rental which creeped everyone out! We noticed food, clothing and even a bucket of urine on the garage floor. I tried to contact the...
