“An absolutely incredible place to stay, with gorgeous river views and even a lake. We stayed in a barrel which was so comfortable, I really did not want to get out of bed! The owner and others on the farm are kind, warming and helpful, and are clearly working hard to build an amazing space. I just wish I could have stayed longer!”

“Had a lovely stay in the Owl's Roost. The hosts were so kind and couldn't have been more helpful. It was so peaceful being surrounded by fields. The cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy! We will be returning again in the future.”

“Lovely clean property with enough space for 2 cars on the drive. Good location for a range of supermarkets and other shops. There were a few things missing from the kitchen such as a jug and baking trays and no washing machine but otherwise had what we needed. The only downfall was the garden, there's no garden furniture and it could do with a tidy up but that wasn't an issue for us.”

“We stayed for 6 nights and had a great time. The hut was fully equipped with everything you need and was very cosy. We didn’t have the best weather but we lit the log burner and we’re lovely and warm. The area is absolutely beautiful and we had several long walks and runs. The night sky was amazing. As there’s no light pollution you can see so many stars. It’s quite remote but there is a shop about 15 minute walk away. We enjoyed being away from it all. ”

“Wunderschön hergerichtetes und eingerichtetes altes Haus. Alles war sehr sauber, das Wohnzimmer sehr gemütlich und die Betten bequem. Modernes Bad. Die Kommunikation mit den netten Besitzern verlief problemlos. Der Ort ist sehr klein, aber es gibt einen Pub und einen Spar mit langen Öffnungszeiten. Für uns war es ein super Ausgangspunkt in die Nationalparks und Devon.”
