“This property is always clean And always comfortable, we highly recommend.”

“really nice room as we were upgraded which was really kind. I think the advert is a bit misleading as the pictures all show the best room and not all rooms have views to the river as the images show and kitchen etc is shared.

“Rooms and hotel in general were beautifully clean. Lots of memorabilia though out there hotel. Only downsides was a very hard mattress and not a lot of floor room for bags. Super place to stay, right in the middle of Warnambool and Port Fairy.”

“Incredible stay at Basalt Retreat! We enjoyed a cozy and luxurious evening the beautiful vineyard, made even more lovely by the complimentary bottle of prosecco and warm hot cocoa. The space itself is gorgeous and so well appointed—from the fascinating books to the gorgeously-scented bath products. Breakfast was delicious: an exquisite croissant loaf with butter and fig jam, plus yogurt and muesli, all made by local purveyors. If you have time, make sure to get lunch at the lovely restaurant....
