“The hotel was very grotty. The room was very small. The ceiling light fitting had exposed wires. The bathroom lino was jagged & torn in places. Very loud vent below bedroom window. Badly decorated & dated. The hot water was boiling(though there was a warning sign) The staff were pleasant though & the room was cleaned every day by friendly ladies.”

“Uninterested on our arrival, seemed more devoted to children and presumably an extended family. We were shown to our room which stank of cigarette smoke. Went out and on return it was better, but we were woken at 3am by the return of significant cigarette smoke. There is a unit at reception which beeps every 3 seconds which is clearly heard in the room all night despite it being advertised as sound proofed. One positive - somebody expressed concern that we had parked on the street and offered...

“We arrived at this hotel in its superb setting enormously cheerful. We were met by a male of surly demeanour with a charisma bypass. I have found prison officers, when visiting my clients, more cheerful and welcoming. His initial charming greeting, a flat, harmless 'you okay?' didnt lift our spirits but after getting over our encounter we loved our room and breakfast was great. Get rid of that harmless man and we will return.”
