THis is an older hotel. It was comfortable and had all the basic amenities. It is just off Market St. The block of 6th St is a bit of a hang-out for homeless people and with the exception of one aggressive street vendor I was not bothered. The staff go out of their way to ensure your comfort.

This is a budget hotel in a bohemian neighborhood. The pluses are that it's cheap, clean and in an interesting environment. The minuses are the room was small, there are no extras and the building is surrounded by strip clubs. There are also good restaurants and clubs with live music near by.

It was nice to have a free breakfast every morning (no butter/spread but toast, bagels, jam and juice for vegans) and the use of laundry facilities. We stayed in a private twin room with a private bathroom which was just enough for the two of us. It was rather loud at night and the early hours with ...
