"Perfect Choice"
I recommend this hotel HIGHLY. Coming from a perfectionist who searches thoroughly until I find the perfect hotel but still then I am holding my breathe until I get there, it was an excellent choice. From the moment you arrive to the hotel you are greeted by bellboys who are happy to see you and each day was the same service. Then you reach the check-in desk were the staff greets you like if they've known you and the process is less than 2 minutes including letting us know all the hotel offers. EVERYONE is polite, happy and friendly. No one asked me to write this review but I simply could not wait to share my experience with those who are looking for their perfect while in DC. I guarantee you that you will NOT be disappointed. I thank the management team at The Melrose for our unforgettable experience. The Sanchez Family

"Home away from home..."
I checked into the Phoenix Park Hotel on a Friday afternoon. The ladies and gentlemen at the reception desk were very friendly and efficient. My room was clean and, as I love historic hotels, was decorated to my taste. I had grand plans to hit the town that night, but I ended up getting 14 hours of completely uninterrupted sleep instead. After a long, hot shower and a wonderful supper, I fell asleep on the very comfortable bed. I had had a very hard week and didn't realize how tired I was. My room was on the 9th floor and it was remarkably quiet for being right near the Capitol building. The next morning, I went down to The Dubliner and had some of the best french toast that I've ever had. The coffee was rich, hot, and plentiful and the servers were friendly and helpful. Checkout was easy and I only had to walk about a block to retrieve my car from Union Station's parking garage.
