The tropical oasis style Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort features a multitude of onsite amenities such as a heated outdoor pool with sun deck, hot tub, exercise facility, basketball court, putting green, horseshoe pit, ping pong table, shuffleboard, playground, barbecue grills and picnic tables, sundry shop, laundry facilities and 24-hour front desk and security. Guests also can stay connected in all of our villas with high-speed wireless Internet access (fee), as well as choose from a wide variety of DVD rentals.
Guests may take advantage of the daily complimentary shuttle daily to Planet Hollywood Towers by Westgate, located directly on the Las Vegas Strip. In addition, a special trip to the grocery store is available on on select days of the week.
Rooms
Resort offers several types of comfortable accommodations, ranging from cozy one-bedroom villas to spacious two-bedroom villas that sleep up to eight people. In-room amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, queen sleeper sofa bed in the living area, dining area, whirlpool tub, fireplace, DVD player and stereo with CD player. Washer/dryer units are also available. In addition, Westgate Flamingo Bay Resort is pet friendly (fees apply).

“Had a blast!”
Our room was fantastic! The service was excellent. They go out of their way to be sure your stay is enjoyable. I would recommend requesting a room off of the main road due to some traffic noise but otherwise it was very nice.
“Would definitely stay again”
This hotel is close enough to the strip to be part of the action but far enough away to be quite an quaint. We were so comfortable, we felt like we were at home. There are plenty of food stores, gas stations, and other ammenities near by.
“Westgate Flamingo”
Overall, this was a great place to stay off the Strip. We opted for the two-bedroom, two-bath unit which was very clean and spacious with full kitchen facilities (including ice-maker). The only negative was the wireless internet ($9.95/day charge) was very slow. My only other comment is that I reel the property should be more up-front that it is a time share community and they try to get you to attend a sales ptich when you check in. Once I told them I wasn't interested, there was no pressure, but it did take me by surprise. This was our first trip to Las Vegas and it was very enjoyable and the accommodations were a large part of that.
“Westgate Flamingo Bay is a great place to stay while in Vegas!”
From the moment you drive in through the front gates, the security personnel is friendly to you. Add to that the concierge, check-in staff and person who takes you to your room. My room made me feel like I was in a wonderful luxury apartment with TV, stereo, bathtub with jets, awesome shower and kitchen. I loved it and had a wonderful time while staying in Vegas.
“Very nice place! Perfect for a family.”
It is a resort and there were salesman everywhere. When we were swimming we felt like we were caged animals at a zoo with everyone looking in at us. A hint: at check in just say no......it worked for us. Our vacation was peaceful at the resort. But overall very clean and nice place to stay. We would stay there again. Very close to the strip.
“One of the best hotels ever visited, anywhere!”
We liked everything about this hotel except the persistent timeshare sales efforts at the beginning. Most notably is how quiet it is in comparison to the Strip. The kitchen has everything one can ever ask for. The A/C is quiet and efficient and the fireplace in the living room looked very nice (not used though at 104F/40C!) The swimming pool and the water fountains nearby are fabulous, especially the shade around the pool.

There is a pool there, but it was so hot we just loved coming into our airconditioned condo. It has a kitchen, with microwave and refrigerator. There is a very nice connecting bathroom and the bed was very comfy (just like sleeping at home), the conciere was courteous and very helpful. I would definitely go back and stay at this place again.
“Excellent Place to Stay”
West Gate Flamingo Bay was an excellent place to stay. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were close enough to the "strip" and the free shuttle service to the strip was very convienient. I would recommend staying here as it is a safe, gated, and beautiful resort.

“Very Enjoyable”
Although some initial problems we were moved on the second day to an upper 1 bedroom. Lots of room, clean, well appointed. Maid service was almost two frequent. Short drive from the strip, close to grocery and shopping. Well cared for grounds. Pool was perfectly warm, hot tub nicely hot. Virtually no noise from other units (due to tiled floors I believe) BIG jacuzzi tub in the bedroom, big shower in the bathroom. Newer appliances, sufficient pots and pans, but only 4 place settings. Any requests handled promptly and efficiently. Friendly staff. Concierge was over the top with her morning phone message song (eg. It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood) I soon learned how to erase them. Otherwise very helpful. Nice kids programs: video games, scavenger hunt, ice cream social. Avoid the shuttle to the Strip unless you have to. A 1 hour return trip, bumpy, boring back roads. There is adequate parking behind the Casinos for your rental car. Didn't like being solicited for time share presentation immediately after we had checked in. Didn't hassle us later though after we declined. Some rowdiness was evident on the weekend, but fortunately wasn't overly annoying. Security seemed to be efficient and alert. My family looked forward to returning each evening for relaxing pool time and that's pretty much what we got. No major hassles, pleasant surroundings, generally a well run resort. We would definitely stay there again if we ever go back. We traveled in early March, '09.
