"Clean hotel close to the cruise port"
We were picked up at the cruise port and quickly arrived at the Red Carpet Inn. Check in was efficient and while a lineup was there we moved quickly through and were in the room even though we were there far before the checkin time.

"Good location, access to beaches and cruise port"
Hotel is in an excellent location on the waterways and an adjacent water taxi stop. We had a one night stop following our cruise ship return and our return flight home. Suitcases were safely secured in a locked area until our room was ready in the afternoon. The main reception area, outside bar / cafe and pool are all very inviting with lots of areas to sit, relax or enjoy a drink etc. The main access corridor to the wing with our room, was a bit "tatty" to say the least. Walls and paintwork were dirty, scratched, damaged. Not a big deal but equally not too difficult to be fixed and maintained in good condition to create a good impression for guests. Room size was adequate, but again was let down by the decor in general. A bathroom with missing / black grout, damaged paintwork, inefficient ventilation fan and slow to drain sink, does not create a good impression. These are not difficult to fix and I would expect housekeeping & maintenance to do a far better job to keep a Hilton brand in a better state of repair, considering the relatively high nightly rate. Breakfast room location , adjacent to waterway is excellent as was the breakfast itself. A wide selection of cold and cooked foods along with fruits, yogurts and drinks should provide something for most people. In summary, excellent location, needs a good tidy up and coat of paint, bit pricey, but that may be typical of Fort Lauderdale in general.

"Nice hotel but costly."
The hotel is very nice. We stayed at club level, which has free concierge access with free snacks, yet the hotel charges 12.95 for Internet and 25 for parking which is for a hotel in this category quite unacceptable. Especially if you consider that's it's their parking garage, and guests aren't allowed in the public parking.

"Exactly as portrayed online- beautiful!"
From the room to the pool, this place is awesome. It definitely provides everything u need in a vacation destination so u don't even need to leave the property. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many families with young kids. But, the pool is so big its not like they're a buzz kill ;) and it beats spring break crazies. BTW, the pool staff is great. They'll find u a chair if u need help, there are servers so u don't need to get up for food or drink, but the bar in the middle of the pool is a cool spot. We were upgraded to a room with a pool view & balcony- just by asking if it was available, and loved sleeping with the door open listening to the waterfall...& waking up to it, too. I loved all the hard rock themes everywhere u turned- just another example of how they put the guests experience first. The outdoor shops & restaurants are a great option for down time when u need a break from the casino atmosphere. We ate in the food court, hard rock cafe, and Piano- loved them all. Keep in mind there are no refrigerators in room. We bought a small Styrofoam cooler & were all set. U can walk around with drinks thru out the property, they even have plastic cup stations to transfer from glasses. Also, they provide keurigs in room with coffee. Its the most guest-friendly resort I've been to outside of the all-inclusives in the Caribbean. I love this place & will definitely be keeping my eye on promotions so I can return.

"Great hotel for cruise transfers"
This was an excellent choice for a one-night stopover prior to a cruise. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, the hotel was in excellent condition, the room and public spaces were very clean, and the room was comfortable and well appointed.

"A place to crash after our cruise"
Overall, the Ramada was what we expected for the price and location--a comfortable, safe place to spend one night after our cruise embarked at Ft. Lauderdale, and before we departed for the airport. I definitely was not expecting the Marriott so was more or less satisfied with the condition of our room: the bed was comfortable, the tv was new and had lots of channels; and the room was stocked with the basics such as soap, moisturizer, an iron, etc. The pool looked nice and there were lots of tables available for sitting outside. The food from the inside bar was surprisingly good. Some things could be improved, such as the elimination of weird noises from the air conditioner and maybe a complete remodeling of the visually unappealing bathroom, but some things probably couldn't, like the ease with which sound traveled through the walls. Since we stayed on a Sunday night it was relatively quiet so it wasn't too disturbing. I would return again, if we needed a layover spot between our travels.
